| | I recently bought a brand new&sealed 8480 set hidden behind many boxes in a shop ! 120 EUR = cheap knowing that the set includes many electrical parts (motor, micro-motor, 2 polarity switches, 1 battery box). But, after the complete assembly, I (...) (22 years ago, 22-Sep-02, to lugnet.technic)

| | | | No, this is not normal. I think you need to check the instructions again. My space shuttle worked without problems. Obviously I didn't need modifications. I don't know how I'm gonna feel in a few years time, but at 32 I've no problems being a Lego (...) (22 years ago, 22-Sep-02, to lugnet.technic)

| | | | Fred, This is not "normal". go back and make sure everything is "snug" but not tight. P.S. I'm 43 and I don't feel guilty! My wife Milissa says there are a lot "worser" things I could be doing......(dons flame suit)........like playing golf. ;-) (...) (22 years ago, 22-Sep-02, to lugnet.technic)

| | | | (...) The first time I built my 8480, the back wheels didn't lock. I rebuilt it going back a few steps and they locked. There must be something confusing about the instructions... ust try to rebuild it. The front landing gear is pure genuis, BTW. (...) (22 years ago, 22-Sep-02, to lugnet.technic)

It's a little vague, but I seem to remember the problem was with a <part:3713 Technic Bush> on the axle that holds the wheel that blocked the movement towards the locked (...) | | | | (...) No, it's not normal - go back throught the instructions, and check that the gear trains mesh with the parts at the right angles as in the pictures - this is *very* important! (...) Not at all! And I feel just as non-guilty at 38! ROSCO (22 years ago, 22-Sep-02, to lugnet.technic)
