Re: 8448 worth it? —Luke Ma
Jake, No prob. Glad I coule help. You're probably not going to find the 8448 for $75 though...but here's to hoping that you do. I don't have the silver champion but I've read quite a bit about it and checked the inventory and all that. Your view of (...) (22 years ago, 3-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)

Everyone seems to enjoy the shuttle and it looks like a well-rounded set with nice electric and fiber optics. What's the cheapest I could probably ever find an 8480 MISB...? (...) (22 years ago, 3-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)

(...) A British Pound. It equals to $62.80, and seems VERY low, half of the 8480's MSRP! BTW, it is an awesome set! -JHK (22 years ago, 3-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)

There was an MISB of the Shuttle (8480) for 50 quid on eBay UK "Buy it now" the other month, so some people do sell without knowing the value of things. I missed it Just keep watching!      If you're going to use it, why bother with MISB? You'd only pay collector's value.... I do own the Space shuttle. It's one of the first I got after the Dark Ages and it's one of the best Technic sets ever. It comes with two motors, fiber-optics, all (...) (22 years ago, 4-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)

(...) Snip... Just a few comments about the Silver Champion. There is no transmission. The V10 engine drives the rear differential, and then out to the wheels through universal joints.
