Once again, the sound of jaws hitting the floor is heard around the world... It may interest some of you to know that the little box near the top of the outer boom section holds the sensors for the load-moment indication system these big cranes use. (...) (...) The PAT company also makes weigh-in-motion systems. The bending plate uses a strain-gauge to measure the load.
