Hi Todd
I really liked the start of your 797 mining truck, and went looking for more
info on the truck on the web. The Caterpillar site does not provide much
details, but I found a very informative (and funny) article at the Car and
Driver website, namely at:
http://www.caranddriver.com/xp/Caranddriver/features/2000/May/200005_specialtyfile_caterppillar_797.xml
Alternatively, you can do a search for "caterpillar" on their main page.
I thought I'd also mention that the truck is rear-wheel drive only, not
4-wheel drive, and packs 2 V12 diesel engines.... do you have enough of
those yellow technic pistons/clear cylinders to pull that off??? ;)
Anyways, hope this info helps, and good luck with the rest of the model!!!
I'm looking forward to seeing the final product!
Regards
John
