I see your use of the name as possibly diluting that recognition,

This is not just picky, this is completely out of line considering that if
Lego acted the same way (and there are legal precendents from other
companies), we would have no Lugnet and, of course, no LDRAW.

Not exactly - neither Lugnet nor Ldraw actually have the word LEGO in them. And
note that LEGO *have* acted exactly that way WRT legOS.

ROSCO

You are wrong here ROSCO,

LDraw stands for 'LEGO Draw' and LUGNET stands for 'LEGO USers Group
Network', so you see both actually do use the word LEGO.

Just for the record I don't have a comment/stance of this MOTO 'brickering'
that is going on.

Lets just all build models and enjoy our legos and virtual legos....

(...) I agree with Ross here - the difference being, LUGNET and LDraw use LEGO as a part of an acronym. Where the Technic MOTM used the name Model of the Month within it fully spelled out. I think its different enough to make a distinction. Anyways, (...) (23 years ago, 4-Mar-02, to lugnet.technic)

(...) And (...) No, I'm not (IMO). (...) No, they are names, one letter of which stands for LEGO. They do not contain the word LEGO. Why else do you think LEGO leaves them alone, while asking the developers to rename legOS? ROSCO FUT: .o-t.debate (23 years ago, 4-Mar-02, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.off-topic.debate)
