Grab a spare motor, and turn the axle with your fingers. Easy, eh? Now, take a
Lego jumper (wire with a conductor plate on either end) and connect one end to
the motor and the other end in the same direction to the first end. This shorts
out the motor, connecting the two poles to one another. Now try to turn the
axle. Not so easy anymore. This is called dynamic braking. By dead-shorting the
motor you get the most braking force - by adding a resistance you can reduce
the force. This is how variable brakes are implemented in electric R/C race
cars, and it works like a charm. You might be able to work the same sort of
function into your supercar if you really want to.
Let us know how it turns out.

Can it be true ? I am three quarters of the way through building the super • car.
It has steering, gears, transmission, a working engine, when motorised it sounds
very realistic, even the gear stick vibrates in neutral..........but I cannot
see any brake or gas pedal........how do I slow down and stop ? Am I  missing
some parts ?
