I agree with you there. Lugnet has many "compartments" already. A .crane
group would be a bit too much.
However, some builders of cranes (as we've seen recently) prefer to post in
the Model Team group. I guess they feel that their creations are closer to
that theme.
Personally, I think most creations are a blend of the Technic and Model Team
themes.
What I do is check both lugnet.technic and lugnet.modelteam to make sure I
don't miss anything. Also, if I have something to post (i.e. a new crane
MOC), I'll post to both groups. They are both relatively low-volume groups
(if you filter out the Bioni-crud stuff, though).
