| I now have my shuttle completely built, and it was a blast building it (and now playing with it)! I'm wondering, though, if I have the landing gear built correctly. The gear works, but it's very stiff, and when trying to retract it, it doesn't (...) (23 years ago, 29-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic)

| (...) I'm sure it goes like clockwork - certainly I noticed nothing amiss when I built it, although admittedly this was some time ago and my memory may be at fault. | (...) I seem to recall I had to adjust the meshing of some bevel gears to get it just right, but if you line them up just like it shows on page 37 (step 23), it should work fine.
