I now have my shuttle completely built, and it was a blast building it

landing gear built correctly.  The gear works, but it's very stiff,
and when trying to retract it, it doesn't really go back in place
without a little help pushing the wheels (front one).  Unfortunately
the spring for the front gear is completely buried and I doubt I can
do much about it without disassembling the model, I was just wondering
what other people's experience with the 8480 landing gear is.

I seem to recall I had to adjust the meshing of some bevel gears to get it just
right, but if you line them up just like it shows on page 37 (step 23), it
should work fine.

Also, you were asking about the correction sheet - in fact it's really only a
clarification sheet. On page 53 (step 32), I guess they thought it wasn't
totally clear where the second electric lead should fit on the switch, so they
added an extra picture showing detail from above exactly where it should go.
