| | | | Thanks for the link to the new kits. They both look interesting, however they still seem to not do much beyond roll across the floor (I smell a theme for this year). I guess I really am a product of the video game generation. I am really spoiled by (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)

| | | | | True, but i like to say Kit 8466 is 4 Wheel Drive, full suspension and V8 engine, also a gear box appears in the photo. Too many panels and not enough beams like the Space shuttle... But anyway, another 4 tyres like the Power Puller's -- Michael - - (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)

| | | | | | OK...if they create these systems accurately, I may have to eat my words. We will have to stay tuned to find out. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Steven (...) (24 years ago, 30-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)

| | | | (...) Personally I don't think the Tow Truck is at the same level as the shuttle. If you liked the shuttle I think you must get your hands on <set:8880>. A pure marvel. The <set:8448> has it's merits too. I just wish LEGO wouldn't keep us waiting so (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)

| | | | (...) I agree, but my budget (and wife) are glad that the big sets don't come very often. Lego 8448 looks great. I have added it to my wish list. I will have to get on brickbay and ebay and see if I can locate one. I noticed someone said that this (...) (24 years ago, 30-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)

| | | | (...) They're not really pneumetics. They're slow release springs, kind of like on a screen door. You can use one to do the pop-up roop of the convertible version or use both to do the gull wing doors version. (24 years ago, 30-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)

| | | | (...) I checked this set out and thought it offered no new functionality, now it has to go on the list, damn. Can you confirm that these 'slow release springs' are new parts and the function of 'door closer' is new? I'll take a look at an 8448 this (...) (24 years ago, 30-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)

| | | | (...) I think those parts were new with the 1999 sets, but that year was when I came back to Technic (Throwbots of all things sucked me back in to Lego) so I can't confirm it. 8445 and 8446 both had one of those springs too, the former uses it to (...)
