Re: resistance on axle with a worm gear?

(...) Oops! I thought you wanted to prevent the worm gear from sliding completely. You know, since the length of the worm gear is slightly shorter than two studs, it will slide a little and you have to leave a gap between the two bushes to lock it (...)   Re: CV joint compatibility question

(...) Thanks for the link. Those large pulleys fit into the joints quite nicely. BTW that site is great! I need to try doing some of those things... (25 years ago, 26-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: LEGO on my mind

This is definately a great site and is where I found the joystick design I based the version in my aeroplane on. The other great site I frequent is (URL)If you are not familiar with the "LEGO on my mind" sight, (...) (25 years ago, 26-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: CV joint compatibility question

(...) Yes. (URL) you're tinkering with an 8880 you owe it to yourself to check out the entirety of this Cool LEGO Site of the Week from some weeks back. (25 years ago, 26-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

  CV joint compatibility question

Just had a question on the "CV joints" that are used on the 8880 Super Car; is there a way to affix them to wheels other than the wheels that come with this set? The 8880 wheels have a little slot that allows the joint to fit neatly in place, but I (...) (25 years ago, 26-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: dodgy motor

(...) That's kinda strange...my 8479 motor seems to run fine. It could just be out of a bad batch or something; you can probably contact Lego, send them tyhe faulty motor and they'll send you a replacement. I was able to get many things fixed in (...) (25 years ago, 26-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: dodgy motor

I am sure Lego will replace it. -- Bob Fay California, USA rfay@we.mediaone.net (URL) (25 years ago, 26-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

  dodgy motor

The motor I got with my 8479 is very stiff - it can only be turned by hand with difficulty. It drives with power but more slowly than any others I have. It's not essential that I replace it as I have enough (from znaps etc). What should I do - put (...) (25 years ago, 26-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Lego Robot in action!

(...) No, that's all! If you can open just any of my pages, the some JavaScrips must work since the all use it. The main page is actually empty and loads pages as needed. Sonnich (25 years ago, 25-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

  Re: Lego Robot in action!

(...) Thanks for the direct links. My main browser doesn't do javascript, and on my browsers that do I disable it because everyone has to make so many obnoxious sites. Do you have any other close-up shots? (25 years ago, 25-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

  Re: Lego Robot in action!

(...) I hav eno good answer for that. All the script shoudl is to ensure one window for showing the picture in the same (resized) window if present. Check whether it opens another instance of yuor browser. Or look at (URL) (25 years ago, 25-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

(...) If you're talking about the machines used to "refresh" asphalt freeways, I think they'd be a good subject for Technic -- they already look like Technic creations. Steve (25 years ago, 25-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Lego Robot in action!

(...) I couldn't get any of the closeup pictures to work. They all kept trying to do something with javascript instead of just linking to the pictures. But I was able to watch the movie of the robot in action. That was cool! I want an ldraw of that! (...) (25 years ago, 25-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

  Lego Robot in action!

  Re: Technic Aeroplane

Hi, No your exactly right. I had a second more in depth look. The third gear will, as you say, make any movement impossible. The gear to take out is the one that was partially hidden - to the right of the picture, on the side with 4 gears on the (...) (25 years ago, 25-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)
