dodgy motor

The motor I got with my 8479 is very stiff - it can only be turned by hand
with difficulty.
It drives with power but more slowly than any others I have.
It's not essential that I replace it as I have enough (from znaps etc).
What should I do - put it down to bad luck or contact lego ?

| (...) That's kinda strange...my 8479 motor seems to run fine. It could just be out of a bad batch or something; you can probably contact Lego, send them tyhe faulty motor and they'll send you a replacement. I was able to get many things fixed in (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

Simply call or mail Lego customer service, just two weeks ago I got two new motors for two other ones which had the same symptoms (well, one was stiff, the other one was totally blocked).
