Hi all, I'm running into trouble with my mobile crane project. The boom is pretty heavy. I want to raise it with a rack/pinion, but I wonder how much force they can take? I have a new (I think) method for using the turntables as jumbo gears. Pop the turntable into two parts. Push the inner teeth down through the hole and pull up on the outer teeth with your fingers. (...) Ahh...but it's good for parts. Maybe it's just me...I didn't even bother putting together the main model, but the stuff inside called out to be used.
