I've recently been trying to modify my #8444. My planned modifications, and the problems they've caused: -Opening cockpit (simple modification, really) Without being bolted down in front, the cockpit partially loses its shape. No biggie, though. (...) (25 years ago, 6-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

They were used as masts in 314 and 315, two of the old ships-series. They were also used in the old Model-team: the Harley and the Norton (393 & 394) feature a few as axles, footrests and antenna. I was tinkering around with my 8880 yesterday, trying to find a way to motorize it effectively. I wasn't able to find anything that works really well here; the only way I was able to do it at all was to further gear down a gear-reduction motor, and (...) (25 years ago, 6-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)
