Re: bulldozer links, where can I get some?

Dacta sells them in packs of 36 for bigger ones and packs of 100 for the smaller ones. I think they are 6 USD or something in US Pitsco. Selçuk (...) (25 years ago, 11-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Damped Shock Question?

This is (almost) exactly the way it worked for me. There is a simple difference though, there is no Lego Turkey yet, so mines are direct from Denmark..:-) TLC people were all too nice and kind throughout the process, they were incredibly quick to (...)   Re: Damped Shock Question?

Hi Jason, Both of my damped shocks on the 8448 failed so I gave Lego Australia a call and they replaced them with 4 new ones within a couple of weeks. The phone number is 1800 683 100 (Freecall). Cheers, Braith. (...) (25 years ago, 11-Dec-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.technic)

  Re: new Technic product shown!

(...) I wouldn't recommend exposing the pneumatics in the LEGO Technic Search Sub (8250/8299) to water. I had some pneumatics when I was a child, and it was all ruined from exposure to water. Perhaps the new style pneumatics is higher quality, (...) (25 years ago, 10-Dec-00, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.technic, lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: new Technic product shown!

(...) Sounds pretty good to me. Lego have already had a fire engine in the Technic range, and people sometimes mistake my red mobile crane for a fire engine, so does that count? :-) I like the idea of an ambulance - what functions would you have in (...)   Re: new Technic product shown!

(...) If you are going to include printed parts, UNICEF 1x3x4 panels in blue. I _think_ that they are amongst the rarest post 1980 pieces made. I haven't a clue as to pre 1980 stuff, esp. for survival. (...) Well, there were around 6K of the panels (...) (25 years ago, 10-Dec-00, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.technic, lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: new Technic product shown!

(...) Well given whats popular how about a technic police car, ambulance, fire truck, rescue team or something. There are lots of emergency service/rescue type toys out there so they must be popular... One thing that I would buy without thinking if (...)   Re: new Technic product shown!

(...) Oddly enough, I do actually agree with you here - I really like it when someone comes up with something that is not a vehicle with Technic. Saying that, it could well be argued that the Star Wars droids are in fact also vehicles, but then that (...) (25 years ago, 10-Dec-00, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.technic, lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: Damped Shock Question?

Yes, that's how they fail. Contact Consumer Services and they should send you a new one (sorry, don't have the number for Australia :-) On Sun, 10 Dec 2000, Jason King (<G5C90C.6uy@lugnet.com>) wrote at 06:11:26 (...) (25 years ago, 10-Dec-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.technic)

  Damped Shock Question?

Hi everyone.. I have heard that the damped shocks in the 8448 set are known to break... I think mine are starting to go, the spring on one is pushing through the endcap and bits of plastic are breaking off inside.... Is this were they normally (...)   Re: Bad electric leads

(...) The point which is most likely to fail is right where the wire goes into the end-plate. This is because thats where most bending occurrs most often. The more it gets bent this way & that, the more likely it is to separate inside the (...) (25 years ago, 10-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic)

bulldozer links, where can I get some?

I am looking for some of the bulldozer type chain links and I want to know where I can get some. The only stipulation is that the price has to be in australian dollars. (25 years ago, 10-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: new Technic product shown!

(...) As a Technics fan I completely agree with the the above comment - that's why the Starwars 8000, 8001 and (especially) the 8002 sets were such a revelation for me. I'd like to see more of this kind of set and a shift away from 'Technics' (...) (25 years ago, 10-Dec-00, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.technic, lugnet.year.2001)
