The 8456 Fiber-Optic Multi Set also includes ones of these. The only thing I don't like about these is that the switch is somewhat hard to operate (some practice is required) and that it can only send current in one direction. It also runs out of (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

First of all: yes, I totally agree! It's great not to be alone.... I own some early technic sets from when I was 10-14 and some I bought last year. Because the removal company (Maguire in Bray, Ireland, beware!) was particularly careless I lost a (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

Anyway, my list from sets I have (and I only have 12 Technic sets): 850 Forklift 8848 Power truck 8286 3 in 1 car I guess I'm the first to include pre-8000 sets. I love the forklift (...) I fully agreed with you. Ofcourse Lego may make such sets but not as a replacement for the "old-style" sets. Maybe they should make every year a model for the "old childs"? (A nice Technic set with a lot of gears and nice mechanism) A few month ago (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)
