Hi Sean,
all the sets are shown in the latest german consumer catalog so we can be
sure that they will appear this year. However, 8516 should have been
released in June (like all other Roboriders) and no retailer was yet able to
tell me anything about this set. My guess is that it'll appear shortly
before christmas, maybe only at special toy chains.
As for the new Technic spare packs, they can be found as "Web Extras" in
this catalog and the text next to the sets mentions that these will ONLY be
available via the internet or the consumer service. I assume they might be
released together with the next wave of bulk packs, but I have no more info
either, we'll see...

| I'm not so sure about that. I think 8516 is Roboriders Wave 2, much like 8520 to 8523 is Throwbots Wave 2. 1. The technic catalog I got with my pit droid last Dec only shows the first six riders. 2. www.lego.com/roboriders/ only shows the first six. (...) (25 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.technic)
