First off, here's my RULE: Buy two so that you have enough pieces to make another arm and you can throw out the throwing arms. My favourite complete Throwbot would have to be Electro, or whatever the purple bug's name is. As i stated before, i buy (...) (25 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.technic)

In a nutshell, the Throwbots seemed to be targeted at the age 7-12 crowd. They combine elements of other popular toys: Transformers, BattleTech, Lego (duh), POGs (collectible caps), and even a smidge of Pokemon thrown in (although not marketed as (...) (25 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.technic)

(...) Okay! Are you planning on renting a garage for it?:) I can't see a solution to the problem with only 5 controllers (servos or whatever). But how about splitting the functions up, you need a channel to Rise/lower support legs next to the crane (...) (25 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.technic)

(...) I glanced at one on the shelf at Family Toy over the weekend. I'm not currently looking to buy anything that big, so I didn't look very closely. But they definately had a few on the shelf. I didn't really like the look of the AT-AT on the box (...) (25 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.technic)

(...) I'm not entirely sure if Tobbe was referring to the "traditional" type of mobile crane setup here - I rather get the impression, although I may be wrong, that he is intent on making a "logging truck", with a crane similar to that you get for (...) (25 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.technic)
