  Re: Set 8482

(...) Thanks The robotics Cybermaster group looks dead - nothing for 2 years. I do not have the remote control (RF tower), as I found in the papers and invetory. I dont have time, but I am thinking of taking the elektronics out and building my own. (...) (14 years ago, 27-Jun-10, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics.cybermaster)

  Re: Set 8482

(...) Hi there, Did you have a look at the inventory? As long as you have RF tower and the antennas (at least 2 of them) in addition to the big blue/green brick you are fine. There are indeed 3 touch sensors in the set and a couple of electric wires (...) (14 years ago, 27-Jun-10, to lugnet.technic)

  Set 8482

Hi A friend gave me a used set 8482 - now I wonder what to :) I am going to use some parts of it, but: 1) there is no remote control - only the receiver / motor - how much can it do? Any idea of keeping it? There is an extra motor, it can be (...) (14 years ago, 27-Jun-10, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Are My Datsville Posts Off-topic?

(...) Yes, you were right. After my next Datsville update post, this fellow mailed me again and asked my to stop e-mailing him. This time it clearly indicates that he gets unwanted news-by-mail updates. I have forwarded the problem to the two Admin (...) (14 years ago, 25-Jun-10, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)

  Re: Technicopedia Update

Major Update I've just finished posting a major update to (URL) Technicopedia> which adds 1995 and introduces several new features. Includes 1995 with sets 8210, 8225, 8235, 8280, 8412, 8422, 8440, 8460, and 8485. For the years 1977 and 1978, I've (...) (14 years ago, 23-Jun-10, to lugnet.technic, FTX) !

My latest MOC; Volvo NL12 with conveyor belt trailer

Yes, I indead this one before. That was back in '97 but I wanted to build the remake for many years. October last year I started with this model to have it finished in May this year. It's much more realistic than its ancestor and works much better (...) (14 years ago, 13-Jun-10, to lugnet.modelteam, lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: My MOC: Clockwork Do-nothing-machine

Bravo, sir. It is quite frustrating to see something amazing on the internet, have the idea to recreate it in LEGO, further have the idea that it could be entirely mechanical, only to have someone else execute the MOC first, and exceedingly well, at (...)   Re: Stilzkin Bridge Launcher

Really cool! Really great to see! I want a red u-joint! Clever use of the modular click tool interface, and the whole MOC from "idea" to "final design" is the best part. Very interesting to see your solution, bravo! Eric Sophie Legomaster (...) (15 years ago, 18-May-10, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Stilzkin Bridge Launcher

(...) Wow - really outstanding - congratulations! It's great how the bridge is perfectly symmetrical and can be picked up from either end. Glad you caught it at the end! (15 years ago, 17-May-10, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: Stilzkin Bridge Launcher

(...) That is just too cool! Especially the last couple of seconds! Dang! Now I feel like going and watching some Thunderbirds. -Chris G. (15 years ago, 16-May-10, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Single motor robotic arm

(...) I believe BS folders with movies are only available at non-peak times (not sure what they class as non-peak), so you might wanna try at a different time. ROSCO (15 years ago, 11-May-10, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Single motor robotic arm

(...) Very intriguing. There is a 'movie' folder in his BS account, but it's not (yet) public. No ideas here, but definitely interested. Jetro (15 years ago, 10-May-10, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  Single motor robotic arm

I noticed this amazing device on Brickshelf a few days ago: (URL) So far as I can tell from the pictures and description, it's a pick-and-place robotic arm, with all the sequencing done mechnically, using a single motor and no electronics. Very cool (...) (15 years ago, 9-May-10, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: My MOC: Clockwork Do-nothing-machine

(...) I'm hoping to get some building instructions together some time. (...) yes i am interested! looking forward to the instructions. (15 years ago, 9-May-10, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

(...) Very nice. Looking forward to seeing the instructions. Jetro (15 years ago, 8-May-10, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: My MOC: Clockwork Do-nothing-machine

(...) Looks like it will be helpful to really understand how it really works... Thanks in advance ;o) Philo (15 years ago, 8-May-10, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

(...) Thanks Alexander. Please see my reply to the earlier message. Andrew (15 years ago, 8-May-10, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: My MOC: Clockwork Do-nothing-machine

(...) Thanks Philippe. The "action point" is not the pivot, that's just the pivot. A little past the pivot is a technic pin which, in the "off" state prevents the mechanism from moving once it has reached the lid-closed position. So yes, it has to (...)   Re: My MOC: Clockwork Do-nothing-machine

(...) Brilliant!!! I'm also big fan of purely mechnical "robots" with only a single motor - you have taken this one step further by using a clockwork motor! I for one would be very interested in instructions. It's not clear to me exactly how the (...) (15 years ago, 8-May-10, to lugnet.technic)
