I use a lot of unofficial parts, but I try to provide a MPD that contains all of
them (thanks to MPD Wizard
http://www.pobursky.com/index.php?name=News&file=article&sid=33&theme=Printer).
Unfortunately it seems that npeghole escaped...
http://philohome.com/kdozer/kd.zip is corrected now.

Don't keep your breath, but it should be soon now...

A suggested Tim,
http://www.ldraw.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=14&mode=thread&order=1&thold=0
is a possibility. I use this on top of the official library (and refresh it from
time to time) to build all my models. But I also keep a clean official library
as a reference to create a self contained mpd with MPDWizard.
