Take the 8421 technic crane for example.. came with 2 cylinders, however, with a little thinkin and adjusting pieces, it now has 4... add an air tank to it.. now has excellant lifting (...) From what I've seen in the pics, the tow truck looks like it has only 1 pneumatic piston. That doesn't look very impressive. (19 years ago, 16-Feb-06, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

In order to build a new boom for a crane I am working on, I had to take apart this WWII plane MOC from 2001. It had numerous butchered parts but was still impressive to look at and worked reasonably well. I had to dust off 4-1/2 years of dust from (...) (19 years ago, 13-Feb-06, to lugnet.technic)
