I have 4 of these sets on the way from Germany right now, I'll probably keep 2
and sell 2 off on Ebay.(The shipping on four sets was a killer!)

Also I have heard that this set is exclusive for Germany. This model was on
display at the toy show in Germany last month, but at the New York show one week
later), it was nowhere to be seen.

So what do you guys think? I can already see how to mod the suspension...

Now I'm REALLY hoping you will put out plans for your version!!!!

The 8653 is a disappointment for me.  I was hoping this would be the Super Car
of this decade (OK, so they have few years left to give it to me), sure doesn't
meet the specs I want.

Will I buy it?  If I'm lucky to get it on sale at LL I will.

To be honest, I am certain that whomever designs the technic cars/bikes/cranes and such has the potential to build "The Best Supercar of the Decade", but I don't know what kind of pressure that they may be under, as far as piece count, difficulty, (...) (19 years ago, 3-Mar-05, to lugnet.technic)
