I really liked the 854 too, but I definitely think you need the number "9" or "6" sticker on the front of each! Jennifer (20 years ago, 25-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.technic)

Re: My tribute to my first Technic Set

(...) I love your modified 8448--that's a pretty big engine on the thing--as well with the fibre optics--nice touch! I couldn't keep the engine in the 8448 attached to the drive train after the modifications for RC'ing. So when the car moves around, (...) (20 years ago, 25-Oct-04, to lugnet.technic)

Re: My tribute to my first Technic Set

(...) Very nice work! 854 was also my first technic set! When I first saw your "Marie" doll/figure I had to have one myself. That was almost 2 years ago! She is still in my modified 8448. Nice couch. I had sheets like your box liner A long long time (...) (20 years ago, 25-Oct-04, to lugnet.technic)

My tribute to my first Technic Set

(URL) was having an unusual wave of nostalgia the other day and put together the first auto chassis--956. Having completed this, I found myself thinking about the first Technic set I received when I was a kid--set 854. So I put that one together as (...)   Re: Buying pneumatics??

(...) Hi Chris, The large new style cylinders should become pretty common (and cheap) soon because they're still being made available in new sets, but it's more difficult to find the small cyliners and pumps. I know in Australia, even DACTA only (...) (20 years ago, 23-Oct-04, to lugnet.technic)

  Buying pneumatics??

I am starting a rather large project that requires large numbers of pneumatics. I have been trying to find places where i can buy them seperatly or in cheap sets. Bricklinks prices are terribly high for just one piston. Does anyone know where to (...) (20 years ago, 21-Oct-04, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Telehandler

(...) Ok! Nice work BTW. I assume it is possible to "mix" various degrees of crab and normal steering? Also, is it necessary to recalibrate the wheels to go back into a straight line sometimes? I see you have a 24 tooth clutch gear that might be (...) (20 years ago, 23-Oct-04, to lugnet.technic)
