Feel free to ask more questions!

Ok! Nice work BTW.

I assume it is possible to "mix" various degrees of crab and normal steering?
Also, is it necessary to recalibrate the wheels to go back into a straight line
sometimes? I see you have a 24 tooth clutch gear that might be used for this
purpose...

Jennifer Clark!  I am a big fan of yours.  Your website is very good and
informative.  I especially like the big track-hoe.

You are correct, it is possible to mix different degrees of crab and normal
steering. Tilting and turning the ball different amounts will accomplish that.
It has to be re-adjusted very often. The main problem is that since the steering
ball had to be moved to the side, there is too much play in between the gears.
I tried using universal joints rather than bevel gears, but the design is too
short for that.  If you were going to use my idea to make a snow-blower for
example, the steering would be more controlled since it doesn't need to be
re-routed to the side. (Big snow blowers have crab steering and no boom).  As it
is, my design is very uncontrolled.  There is no better way to do it though,
unless the design can be wider. Mine has to be 17th scale and fit on the
trailer.  I did not use the #8466 suspension pieces because there is no way to
fit the differential in between the A-frames, and hardly any steering range.

I have a question for you. Do you see how I placed the piston that tilts the
front bucket? http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=863748.  Could
this design be used on a full-sized wheel loader such as the one loading the
dump truck in this picture?
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=735164. Are there any real wheel
loaders like that?

If you can, shoot me an email (Radarbell@hotmail.com) with a link to your
website address.  I can't figure out how to get on it from brickshelf, but have
seen it twice.

Keep building.
