LEGO presented these Racers at the German 1000Steine event. Myself and a few
others had a nice little race on the hotel's backyard (even Jan Beyer of
LEGO joined us ;) )
The cars are made of plastic elements, which are held together by rubbery
"connectors" , a bit like Technic or ZNAP. This way the cars are both
sturdy but won't break on impact against say a tree (which happened to us
frequently!) They're very fast, have great traction and are quite agile.
Overall the best RC racer LEGO put out so far, surpassing all previous
models easily in durability.
Great is that stuff can be combined between boxes and that it comes with
real RC-battery packs instead of using AA batteries for everything. The
only negative I can think of is that they didn't put these things out when
I was a kid!!
