Why should they need to recall it? Surely all that matters is that they change the name of the product on future packaging and in next year's catalogue? Since the Indy Racing League (IRL) had to go to court to prove that they (not the Indianapolis Motor Sports Park (home of the Indianapolis 500) had legitimate claim to the name "Indy", they have to do all they can to protect their copyright (and it (...) Actually, the Indy Racing League is owned by Tony George, who also owns the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (where the 500 is run). "Indy" and "Indycar" are trademarks of the IMS. Prior to 1995, "Indycar" was used with permission by Championship Auto (...) (25 years ago, 28-Mar-00, to lugnet.technic)
