As always, your model is of the highest quality and sets a standard to which all other models have to be judged by.

Andreas, thank you for your compliments!

Nice to see that this time you didn’t have to use lots of stickers to get the color scheme right, because the paint job on the original model is very “lego friendly”.

It’s a company from which I built the 4th truck. The previous one, a four axle tractor with a big low loader was the donor for this model. I didn’t used any stickers except from the lettering on both sides of the driver’s cab.

It’s also nice to see another Lego model of a nostalgic truck. I really like them.

Old vehicles has my interest. I will build more of those in the (near) future.

It took a long time before this model was finished: about one and a half year. But I didn’t built frequently. During some months I didn’t touch any LEGO piece.

Hmmm ... that somewhat sounds very familiar to my own situation ...

Yep, I also have other hobbies and things to do. And I don’t mind they cost me a lot of time. I don’t spend a lot of time with LEGOs nowadays.

I’m still busy with typing a story about the Menck dragline. It’s a fully operational machine which can do everything. More about the Menck later.

Can’t wait to see more of this model. It’s nice to see that finally the large yellow technic gears are used for Lego versions of heavy construction machinery. I saw a model using this gears at the Berlin show I mentioned, and now only within days I see another one. And I recently used them myself on my rendition of a CAT D9 (on which you already did a great job)

Well, they have the exact size for the undercarriage. They should be black instead but I think it’s a shame to paint them black. The story about the Menck comes later. Hopefully before Christmas :)

Dennis
