The updates are very scarce but now I found some time to add a new model to
my website:
Its an old Scania LS111 Super with Nooteboom low loader.
It took a long time before this model was finished: about one and a half
year. But I didnt built frequently. During some months I didnt touch any
LEGO piece.
Heres the description of this model.
Im still busy with typing a story about the Menck dragline. Its a fully
operational machine which can do everything. More about the Menck later.
Feel free to comment.

Very impressive, as are the other trucks on your site. Sticking at one project
for so long is to be commended. I always wished there could be kits of trucks
like these, with working functions.
I did a few less-detailed trucks as a teenager but have never got further than
chassis experiments with proper scale trucks. I tried to do a pneumatic tag
axle lifting device, for a 6x2 tractor, that also equalised the suspension
between the rear axles when the tag axle was down.
I also struggled with the problems of axles wearing in the beam holes on heavy
trucks, high friction on multiple steering mechanisms and long crane jibs, and
the weight of the jib as it got too heavy for pneumatics to lift it. These
things are probably what pushed me to specialise in trains instead.
