Yeah, putting them straight is the real trick, isn’t it. My plan is to use springs (shock absorbers) which hopefully will align the mechanism centrally in this brief moment when gear shift is in “idle” position. For now it’s all theory, though. As for the system you’ve investigated - the link in your message works, but pictures do not appear. But I’m going to keep visiting it anyway :)
