I don't think more motors can be squashed into frame only 8 studs wide. I'm planning to use similar system for (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jun-04, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

My plan is to use springs (shock absorbers) which hopefully will align the mechanism centrally in this brief moment when gear shift is in "idle" position. For now it's all theory, (...)
