Ok, I just looked in my 2003 Holiday catalog (which includes 8455). I do not see
any mention of Technic in the catalog. To me, 8455 is certainly a Technic set,
no question. But there are *some* Racers sets which I would also call Technic
sets (seeing as they are primarily Technic parts) but there is no mention of
Technic on the box (e.g. 8470, Slammer G-Force). Other sets which I would think
deserve to be called Technic (Hailfire Droid, Mars Exploration Rover).
Curiously, the 2003 Holiday catalog refers to #10072 as "Beams", while the S@H
web site lists it as "TECHNIC Beams". Go figure.
