am i correct in thinking that this board (with the modification) could=20

Bob,

I am experienced with RC systems and have modified RC components to control
Lego motors. (See: http://users.adelphia.net/~istafford/lego-radiocontrol.html)

The web page you mentioned that had techniques and instructions for converting
the 'Micro Car' RC systems for use in a very light RC plane is very good and
well worth reading - but - the techniques can not be easily applied to the
control of Lego motors without adding more electronics and modifications.  His
application did not require both forward and reverse control of the motors for
one thing.  The advantages of the Micro systems are low cost, very light
weight, and small size.  Other than cost - the disadvantages outweigh the
advantages for the Lego application.  But - do not despair - I am sure that
others are working on this problem.
