I think you've the wrong picture in mind. The one Thomas was inspired by was this one: (URL) Lugnet logo is an adaptation of Opus 1 by Oscar Reutersvard: (URL) used this idea in this picture: (URL) got world famous. Reutersvard somehow missed the (...) (22 years ago, 30-May-02, to lugnet.technic)

Hello, The lego Gods threw me a bone! Alfha Team sets 4793 (URL) and set 4794 (URL) each contain 2 8 toothed escapement wheels. But after several hours of play I came up with just one possible implementation of a escapement using this wheel. I have (...) (22 years ago, 29-May-02, to lugnet.technic)

At first I resisted the Bionicle idea but was attracted to its unapologetic goofiness. Then I found I actually liked the whole deal.
