I recently built mine and have been wondering about adding a motor too. I've thought of adding the motor unit found on the 8279/5121 but it looks as if it would mean removing the external steering wheel and column outside the cab and readjusting the (...) (23 years ago, 31-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic)

(...) It works well. It's easy to assemble and requires only common parts. I think that it will stand up to very high torque applications, but I haven't tested it yet.
