  Re: springless pneumatic pump

(...) Agreed... Large pumps suck at being motorized. But has anyone ever tried mounting one to a piston-like assembly? Maybe something that pushes and pulls it much like a human hand would. I have been wondering for a while if this would be better (...) (24 years ago, 2-May-01, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

(...) during the old times (before my dark ages) 2L axles don't have the notches that you describe, but they naturally gain some irregular notches while trying to put it from a technic connector/toggle connector piece. Actually I remember I was (...) (24 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Small Axle

Its been my experience that the notches are used to "click" them into place. Example: slowly put one into a full gray (or red) bush, you can "feel" it "click" or "lock" into place. It does the same thing with axle connectors too. Hope this helps. -- (...) (24 years ago, 1-May-01, to lugnet.technic)

(...) So now we just have to find out why the <part:6216m 4.5V motor> (as in <set:5101>) has the same notch on it's output shaft. (to pull the motor out? :) - David (24 years ago, 1-May-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Small Axle

Boy are those little notches handy, too! I remember noticing the notches very soon after I left my dark ages. Most of my 2 long axles from before my dark ages have tooth marks from being removed from some other Technic piece. And I REALLY dislike (...) (24 years ago, 1-May-01, to lugnet.technic)
