Hi Everyone, I just created a spreadsheet that I think will be useful to many of us. It shows the lengths of possible diagonals in terms of LEGO Units. That might well be the closest yet to come to a grader blade. Although I would prefer it if it didn't have those nasty-looking ridges made by the studs and plates that help fit them together. Should be fairly simple to make one, a 90o curve isn't (...) (24 years ago, 7-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

Dean, it's probably dumb luck that the two drives on the piece I'm working on have little slack. There is one real simple way to eliminate backlash: Use LEGO's 'small-link chain' with their normal gears as sprockets. I paid CAN$7.00 for 135 links from Pitsco-Dacta's Canadian vendor. There is absolutely NO backlash. Mind you, the gearing problem (...) (24 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)
