  Superfluous Holes

I'm starting a grunge/metal band called the 'Superfluous Holes'. All our song's are going to be about Lego or Lego building. Only joking! What I really wanted to say was why do we need six superfluous holes on every Technic wheel ever produced. Why (...) (24 years ago, 3-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

(...) Mmm... I've bought about four of them (or was it two?) from LEGO Service in Europe for about $6 per piece. I did buy (another) two space shuttles for $200 total this weekend, new in box, from a toy store in Sweden (they had another, but I (...) (24 years ago, 3-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: What part is Bob Fay using here?

Well, I don't think I wanna spend that kind of dough to get one of them. I haven't bought a space shuttle yet just because of the price, but I think, if it comes with two polarity switches, I might have to break down and get it now... After all, (...) (24 years ago, 3-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: I wish Lego made an "Anti-Backlash Gear"

The closest thing to an anti-backlash gear is the Conical gear (a misnomer). It can be used to load a gear train. I have used this in a design by Iain Hendry. (URL) have tried using a second motor in the gear train with a slight reverse current. (...) (24 years ago, 3-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)
