Re: End effector that can "feel"

Hi, this is a very good solution! I really like the way this is done, even if it uses 2 sensor ports. The use of the double gear boxes to close the fingers at the same time is very nice! Really great work, excellent end effector solution. Eric (...) (17 years ago, 27-Feb-08, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

Renault Magnum with stepframe trailer laden with a CAT D7R dozer

Hi all, It has been a while since I finished a new MOC. But the model I've added to my (URL) website> today took me more than two years to build.   Re: Linear Actuator

(...) I totally agree. I think their is one simple metal part inside a pneumatic ram, and that's mostly cylindrical. An LA must have it's ram, worm gear, worm gear rack, and maybe(hopefully) a bearing all made of metal. Seems like the usual Lego (...) (17 years ago, 23-Feb-08, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Linear Actuator

The only way I can see these being cheaper to produce is if they have no matel parts at all which would make them even worse. And yes you would need a means to power them throuh a series of gears and universal joints which I think could be more (...) (17 years ago, 23-Feb-08, to lugnet.technic)

Hello, LUGNET readers. In case you don't know, I'm the lugnet.robotics.nxt curator.
