Re: Lego RC Set Questions - Overloading

(...) Standard RC car speed controllers are made to take from just a few amps to some as high as 500+ voltage wise they go from 6v to 24v I'm sure there is allot more but thats what I've seen. The speed controller in my Traxxas Emaxx for example is (...) (20 years ago, 14-Jun-04, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Lego RC Set Questions - Overloading

(...) Talking of overdriving Lego electrical components, I once used a 9V pole reverser switch to connect 4 12V train motors on a robot to a 12V 6A power supply. The robot used the wheels from the Big Cat Truck and was so powerful that it would run (...) (20 years ago, 14-Jun-04, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Lego RC Set Questions

(...) I don't believe that would be a good thing--connecting more than two motors to the output. During one of rtlToronto's events, one of the competitors had 4 motors connected. If I recall correctly, at the end of the competition, there was a (...) (20 years ago, 14-Jun-04, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Lego RC Set Questions

(...) Thanks Elroy. Here is another one: How many RC motors can be connected to the battery/control unit without harming it? I was thinking about using 4 of them. Is there any sort of current limiter in the unit? Avi Parvin (20 years ago, 14-Jun-04, to lugnet.technic)

Re: MOC: DEMAG CC2800 Crawler Crane - Stage 1 complete

(...) I found out that my 'small scale' Gottwald, reaches a point around 5 meters where the boom could not handle the heavy forces. With a flyjib configuration the forces on the main boom are huge. But in 'my' scale a 5 meters single boom would not (...) (20 years ago, 14-Jun-04, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.modelteam, FTX)

Re: MOC: DEMAG CC2800 Crawler Crane - Stage 1 complete

(...) Thanks Dennis! It is big, but like the real crane it can be taken apart for transport, and no section is more than 36 studs wide or 130 studs long. And it's only about 15.5kg in that configuration. (...) Yes I had to buy quite a few pieces. (...) (20 years ago, 11-Jun-04, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.modelteam, FTX)

P'titgneugneu the stairs climber, was Re: CC3:Stairs,

Here is the (URL) write-up> about the robot I built for CC3:Stairs contest, that happened to win ;o) A bit flimsy, not too pretty, but it did the job! (URL) As the results have not been published here, I inserted the official announcement below. (...)   Re: MOC: DEMAG CC2800 Crawler Crane - Stage 1 complete

(...) AWESOME!! This is HUGE! I'm following the progress of your project since the first pictures. When I saw the discription of your model above I thought: "This guy is crazy! He will never manage to build a 1:13 scale CC2880!" Now I've really (...) (20 years ago, 10-Jun-04, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.modelteam, FTX)
