Re: New MOC - BIG TRACTOR full control

"Tomasz Zajac" <speedmen89@wp.pl> wrote in message news:HyH6np.vy7@lugnet.com... (...) AH! A nice one! I like the use of tubes and panel to get the shape of the vehicle. Is there a RCX involved in the control of the tractor or is it only by wire? I (...) (20 years ago, 29-May-04, to lugnet.technic)

  Sorta' OT, but interesting

(URL) slashdot posting has links to images of Mecano creations that are simmilar to Babbages difference engine #1 and Anylitical engine. Wouldn't it be cool to do this in LEGO(R) ? -JSM (20 years ago, 29-May-04, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Fiber optic cables from 8480, 8456, and 9732

(...) Yes. If you stick them into one of the straw - tube pieces [1] (for awhile) they'll eventually staighten out. [1] The kind found commonly in Technic sets. Also may be described as "hard line pneumatic tubbing". e (20 years ago, 29-May-04, to lugnet.technic)

Re: references for studless construction and Mindstorms?

(...) I too would like such a reference - sadly, at this point the best I've found is looking over (more often, building) stock LEGO studless designs. The small 'dozer Technic model that was released last year was a very nice education (for its (...) (20 years ago, 28-May-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.technic)

Fiber optic cables from 8480, 8456, and 9732

Does anyone have an idea how to straigthen the fiber optic cables from these sets? My space shuttle has just been dismantled (after staying built for 1-1/2 years) and the fiber optic cables stay curled. (20 years ago, 28-May-04, to lugnet.technic)

references for studless construction and Mindstorms?

Since playing with some of the newer Technic sets (and some bionicles) I am realizing that there can be significant advantages to studless construction...a high strength to weight ratio being one of them... Any suggested references for getting (...) (20 years ago, 28-May-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.technic)

  Re: LEGO on TechTV

(...) Steve, Great work on Full Contact! I enjoyed your last visit to G4TechTV and am looking forward to your new trip there. Also, very curious on how you managed to get the Connect 4 robot working with just the RIS 2.0. KK Quah (20 years ago, 28-May-04, to lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)

  Re: SSClagorpion - Compressor

(...) Ok, so I got two of these in the mail yesterday (thanks bricklink). But, I wasn't able to figure out too much about how they work. Anyone know where I can find an internal diagram of what exactly, this thing does? Steve (20 years ago, 28-May-04, to lugnet.technic)

  LEGO on TechTV

Next Friday (June 4th) I'll be making another trip out to San Francisco to be on TechTV's The Screen Savers. This time, I'll be taking at least one, and hopefully two all LEGO robots that can play Hasbro's Connect Four. The first robot, "Full (...)   Re: TJ, start the engines of your R 996...

Hi TJ (...) Thanks. I like them too (the pictures AND the model). It was quite a bit of an insanity to use the bike to go up to the quary.
