  Vahki Enforcers

The Vahki enforcers, part of the new Metru Nui theme, are about to go on sale on LEGO Shop@Home. A (URL) 2-item kit of these bad boys> will start shipping within the next 30 days. Each is about nine bucks US$. (URL) I've posted a (URL) review> on (...) (20 years ago, 19-May-04, to lugnet.technic.bionicle, FTX)

  NEW moc: Black Sports Car

Hi everybody out there, I took some additional pictures of my (URL) CSC> and used the opportunity the take some pictures of a 2 year old moc, too. Here it is, the Black Sports Car: (URL) See more pictures on MOCpages! (URL) I hope you enjoy the (...) (20 years ago, 19-May-04, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX)

  Re: SSClagorpion - Compressor

(...) Airflow is what causes this. The two pumps both hook up to the same size hoses with the same size nipples, but an identical length of stroke on the larger pump is pushing quite a bit more air than the small pump. There's a limit to how fast (...) (20 years ago, 17-May-04, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: SSClagorpion - Compressor

(...) You should go study Dr. C. S. Soh's website for a great foundation on compressors. (...) I've not studied that. I think that the max pressure that LEGO can handle is constrained by hoses staying on fittings, not what the pumps can deliver. (...) (20 years ago, 17-May-04, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: SSClagorpion - Compressor

(...) First of all, no. I have nothing interesting in the world of compressors. I got sidetracked building an all mechanical walker that has no gravity well. I think it's a cool idea, which I may revisit later, but I think this design requires more (...) (20 years ago, 17-May-04, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: SSClagorpion - Compressor

(...) Hi Steve, Were you able to come up with anything in your compressor experiments? The topic of compressors is an interesting one. As you know there are many many solutions to this problem. The most popular is Ralph Hempel's design that you can (...) (20 years ago, 17-May-04, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Can someone identify this 'instruction kit' - red flip top hard case

Actually thinking now maybe this is 9603, both are in LUGNET's database but with no picture so hard to verify. (20 years ago, 17-May-04, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Can someone identify this 'instruction kit' - red flip top hard case

OK, here are the details on this kit I have. I think it's a 1035 Technic I teacher pack, complete and in superb condition. Has BIG red flip top case for everything to go into. 4 sets of cards in blue (labeled 1031), red, yellow and green. Techers (...) (20 years ago, 17-May-04, to lugnet.technic)

  New Website/MOCs

Hey guys, I just finished a complete remake of my website. The address is the same as before: (URL) think I have found all the bugs, however, there still could be a few. If any of you had problems viewing my robots you should be able to see them (...) (20 years ago, 16-May-04, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)

Re: Advice from crane builders (was: Blimey)

(...) Hmmmm. I just looked closely at that pic, and can see the a-frame line is reversed once (goes across to opposite side of pulley). I've noticed some cranes do this, and some don't - some do it more than once - none of the DEMAG ones I've seen (...) (20 years ago, 16-May-04, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: NEW ANIMATION

Hello Steve (...) However (...) porblem I (...) How about increasing or decreasing the rotation speed of the wheels, or would that conflict too much with the distance traveled by the wheels? Is increasing or decreasing the framerate an option? (...) (20 years ago, 15-May-04, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.animation, lugnet.technic)

  Motion Blur (Was: NEW ANIMATION)

(...) Me too. I have thought of making a really nasty cheat by emulating motion-blur using trans-coloured parts that in the models directory. I have'nt had time to develop this idea so far, though... /Tore (20 years ago, 14-May-04, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.animation, lugnet.technic)

  Re: NEW ANIMATION

(...) The wheels are programmed to turn as the truck moves across the screen. However the frame rate matches the rotation of the spokes pretty well. (URL) I am looking for a way to do motion blur which will also help fix this porblem I hope. Steve (20 years ago, 14-May-04, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.animation, lugnet.technic)

  Re: SSClagorpion - Compressor

(...) Yes, it is, assuming you have enough pressure for the circuit to advance though the sequence. (...) OK. As I said in an earlier post, I'm working on a "dual action" pump compresssor. I've got two "Pneumatic Distribution Block 2 x 4 with (...) (20 years ago, 14-May-04, to lugnet.technic)

Re: BrickFest DC 2004 Technic/Mindstorms events

(...) Thanks! I've not heard from Doug lately. I'll have to check with him on Brickfest. (...) A one time event? (...) Kevin (20 years ago, 14-May-04, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.robotics)

Re: BrickFest DC 2004 Technic/Mindstorms events

Give Doug and Kevin several display tables, require that one of those guys be present to operate stuff, and you could entertain large crowds all weekend :-) (...) :-) A "crane-crashing" would be a spectacular event. Certainly a crowd-pleaser. (...) (20 years ago, 13-May-04, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.robotics)
