Re: uCOG V - my tiniest weight shifting walker

Hi Philo, Great minds think alike. I did the same last night. I've got one build with studs up, and a second with studs down. I'm going to update the building instructions, and post the DAT files as well. I figure it is a good example of the new (...)   Building question

I am building a larger building and am planning to use technic beams to create a post-and-beam frame. This is to strengthen the structure and to prvide support for floors as I am planning on doing an interior. My quesion is: Is it possible to join (...) (21 years ago, 12-May-03, to lugnet.technic)

Re: uCOG V - my tiniest weight shifting walker

Very nice walker, Kevin ! It seems to work better with a little more weight on top, I added a small head (with blue eyes ;o) and it balances better. Building instructions are missing the 1/2 lengh pin and tube creating the cam with 16 tooth gear... (...) (21 years ago, 11-May-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.cad, lugnet.inst, lugnet.robotics)

Re: What sets is this motor used in?

(...) Yes, it did. hanks a lot! Peeron does not state a number. Could it be that the battery cover's number should do the job? Then Peeron schould be updated! Reg. (21 years ago, 11-May-03, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: uCOG IV

I forgot to mention that given uCOG IV weighs so little, the torsional and bending resistance of the cable has a huge effect on walking. I'm motivated to make a micro-battery pack, with six hearing aid batteries.... :^) Kevin (21 years ago, 10-May-03, to lugnet.technic)

  uCOG IV

James, I've been extremely inspired by your tiny weight shifters. I knew that my original attempts were going to be bested, but I hand't gotten inspiration to make them smaller.
