Well from all the sets I got as a child, I don't have any boxes left. Right
now I only save old boxes (pre-1995 for me) as well as boxes of specific
themes I really collect. I am about Adventurers-complete, so I save all
those boxes. Same for town (mostly 1980-1990 era) and trains. And some big
Technic boxes are still around, since they make good parts bins. Other than
that I trashed most because I just didn't have the room to keep them around.
As for resale value... I don't plan on ever selling my collection, so for me
this is not an issue.
