I don't have to feel guilty or weird or anal for doing the same. :) There was a wicked good sale that Staples (local office superstore) had on 1/2" three-ring-binders last summer and I bought 36 of them so I could have (...) | For Lego elemnts, I use the blue/red storage bins from sets 545, 56, etc. These are great 6/9 compartment bins that use a 16x32 baseplate as the lid. For catalogues and Mania Magazines I use ring binders with sheet protectors. (26 years ago, 28-Sep-98, to lugnet.storage)

| I have started to store and sort through my Lego paper collection (instructions, catalogs, magazines, etc.). For catalogs, I have put each in a sheet protector and labelled it something like this: 1979 7 1/4"x7 3/8" 103517 103617 US I put in metric (...) (26 years ago, 28-Sep-98, to lugnet.storage)

| I have had good luck with plastic boxes, the shoebox size and the next up. An adjustable shelf can hold a lot of these and elements can be sorted by about any combination includning theme, model, shape or color. Special small elements go in flip lid (...) My one and only claim to lego famedom!! -- Anyway, due to a lack of realistic storage options, I tend to build bricks of a single type and colour into large, tall, towers.
