Yeah.  I like that George is on the helm because I think he has a stunning
imagination, and his visualisation of effects shots and dynamic storytelling
are incredible- so having him be the ultimate authority as far as what goes
into the movie is great.  But he has no idea how to handle actors.

Actually, a little-known fact is that Jar-Jar is a real person, but Anakin
was completely computer generated.  It was simply more cost effective to
repeat footage!

Well, that would explain why Jar-Jar's performance was the less wooden of the
two.
