Re: who's feelin the black pack?

(...) Well then, should "white" folks view the release of a yellow skinned Luke, Han, etc. as a slap in the face? I have never, ever seen a yellow person (except for the time I had a VERY bad fever and became jaundiced). How dare they portray the (...) (24 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) of (...) I like this last point. I think the people who are bothered the most about this minifig race issue are suffering from a mistaken impression that yellow figs are/were ever meant to accurately represent caucasians. These Barbie (...) (24 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: who's feelin the black pack?

(...) - (...) Not at all... in fact you've hit the nail right on the head as far as I'm concerned about the entire race question. What you call "value" is more acurately termed (in this discussion anyway) skin albeido. That is, the level of light (...) (24 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) a (...) Can't say that I've ever heard of "skin albedo" (not albeido, by the way). "Value" in this sense is an artist's term for relative light and dark. (...) world, (...) So, are you arguing that pale yellow is okay, or pale yellow is not (...) (24 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)
