Could someone with this set please let me know about the part on the engines which is an axle with peg-holes at each end. How long are they? How many studs are there between the axle holes? Any help appreciated. -John Van (26 years ago, 5-Mar-99, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) There aren't any studs. It's just a long cross-axle. Steve (26 years ago, 5-Mar-99, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) John- These are not new. They are well-known, well-loved and somewhat rare 16L axles with end-connectors. Steve (26 years ago, 8-Mar-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.cad.dev)

Well I'll be darned. Based on the pics, I was certain these were going to be a shorter version of the axle with end connectors. -John Van Steve Bliss wrote in message <36e416ba.19410902@l...et.com>... (...) engines (...) (26 years ago, 8-Mar-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) That makes sense. (...) I just double-checked. The axle-links are still the same length as a 16L beam. They do stick out, but those 3x3x2 cones on the back of the nacelles help balance things out a bit. Steve (26 years ago, 9-Mar-99, to lugnet.starwars)
