Re: LEGO Star Wars Sets are Record Setting! —Eric Joslin
(...) Well, I for one hope they figure out that part of the success of these sets is how well-designed they are. Almost no other liscence is going to generate the kind of sales Star Wars is... and I really do hope they *don't* start liscencing out (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jun-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: LEGO Star Wars Sets are Record Setting! —Christopher Masi
I agree. I hope LEGO doesn't start creating movie themed LEGO. I am very happy with my Star Wars LEGO, but creating movie themed LEGO is not really in the spirit of LEGO. Instead of chasing down cultural icons to copy I hope LEGO will put the same (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jun-99, to lugnet.starwars)

        Babylon 5 Lego —Peter Fuesz
(...) Speaking of Babylon 5, has anyone else tried to make a Starfury out of Lego? I'm in the process now, but damn it's hard! I also made a Londo and G'Kar mini-fig. I'll try to post them, altho I might make some purists mad because I actually cut (...) (25 years ago, 21-Jun-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Babylon 5 Lego —Brett Carver
(...) This same topic came up over in rec.toys.lego. In respose I created a temporary page with some pictures of my first attempt at a Starfury. It's appropriate that the discussion is in lugnet.starwars since my version is built basically from the (...) (25 years ago, 23-Jun-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Babylon 5 Lego —Brett Carver
(...) The entire grapple is Technic based so in extra. Other than that, I think it was just a few basic plates and bricks. (...) My next version will be a serious attempt to build it using parts from only those two SW sets. If I do next extra parts, (...) (25 years ago, 24-Jun-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Babylon 5 Lego —Jeremy H. Sproat
(...) with your wing assembly -- as seen from the back -- very clever. Like I said before, it looks like it's got a *lot* of playability!           Re: Babylon 5 Lego —Brett Carver
(...) Thanks. (...) I plan to. I'm working on a larger site for the "Robotics Vehicle Lab". It's primary focus will be on Mindstorms, but will have other stuff (like the Starfury). And, yes, I do have updates planned. (...) True. But I have seen (...) (25 years ago, 12-Jul-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Babylon 5 Lego —Peter Fuesz
Nice minifig scale Frazi-class fighter. I think the Minbari ships will be the hardest to make in Lego... and the Shadows... and the Vorlons... geez, Babylon 5 isn't very Lego friendly. (...) (25 years ago, 28-Jul-99, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) I know there is a webpage with a Ldraw Starfury, but I don't remember where. I may have the dat file at home though. I think the page had a couple other mechs, including a Destroid from Robotech. Jeff (25 years ago, 23-Jun-99, to lugnet.starwars)
