Though I can ill-afford the sets, I expect that I might
court bankruptcy or overdraught and buy some of these.(1) I will
be in the US for 2 weeks (In time for the release of the film!(2)
As the prices are so much cheaper (17 or so percent), I might
just buy a couple of the smaller ones, or maybe the biggest, to
enjoy the greatest actual savings benefit.
What I was wondering, with the boxes flattened, and the sets
unbuilt, how much space do they appear to take up? Should I
bring an extra suitcase?
(2) I have been asked to attend a conference for 2 weeks from
May 17th. How's that for luck??
(1) Is it true that some Targets and Wal-Marts have restaurants?
I have a daily allowance of 25$ for dinner. Let's see, a burger
and Naboo fighter? Does a Wal-mart dinner come anywhere near
25$?? Would "71xx Naboo Swamp......$12.00" on a receipt look
like, or pass for, a Cajun meal? Hmmm......

| (...) Walmarts have McDonald's and Targets frequently have a combination Taco Bell/ Pizza Hut. You can get a full meal for about $5 from McDonald's, though I don't envy you that diet. In general dining out is much cheaper in the states than it is in (...) (26 years ago, 11-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

| (...) Well, I dunno about the Cajun Meal thing (being an ex-resident of N'Awlins), but it is true that some Wal-Marts *do* have cafeterias (well, ok, so I know that from being an ex-resident of Louisiana, too...). I don't think it would come close (...) (26 years ago, 12-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)
