I loved LEGO’s original deisgn of the set #7166 Imperial Shuttle due to it’s size. It was just big enough to fit in one hand and fly aorund. What I did not like was the lack of interior detail and how there was NO LANDING RAMP!

You can not have an imperial shuttle and NOT HAVE A LANDING RAMP! How on earth is the emperor going to get out! I looked around the internet for ideas and liked what Gareth http://www.fbtb.net/gareth/modshuttle/index.html had come up with. I saw many other deisgns on brickshelf but they all were either too big or did not look right.

After talking to Garetj about his model I attempted to make my own but decided that I wanted a wider landing ramp so that an R2 unit could fit and I wanted a detailed interior. Both of these specification, off course, caused me to make just a bigger model that what LEGO and Gareth did.

After several days of taking apart my two offical #7166 models and finding every white part I had (did not realize just how much white I would need) I am happy to introduce you all to me version of the Imperial Shuttle.

OK, here are af few comments: I like what you are attempting to do with the Lambda Class Shuttle (LCS). We all recognize the problems with Lego's version as far as it not being to scale. So far I have not seen anyone build an LCS that is to scale. (...) (20 years ago, 19-Oct-04, to lugnet.starwars, FTX)
